Get Involved
We can join together and make renewable energy in West Virginia a key part of the national energy solution, and preserve Coal River Mountain for current and future generations. There is a better plan for affordable, clean energy and good, green jobs on Coal River Mountain.
Here are some key things you can do to support the Coal River Wind Project:
- Tell the head of the EPA to save Coal River Mountain. As the head of the EPA, Lisa Jackson can reject the valley fill permits which will open the door for wind development on Coal River Mountain.
Sign our petition to let West Virginia officials know that there is a better, healthier choice for clean, affordable energy future in Southern West Virginia. Then, think about contacting your local officials and asking them to support clean energy development in your neighborhood.- Tell Governor Joe Manchin to choose a clean healthy future for West Virginia by supporting the wind farm.
- Spread the Word! Send out an email to all your contacts asking them to sign our petition and support this campaign. See our Resources page to learn how you can write a letter to the editor to support Coal River Wind. Contact us for more information about how you can share the exciting news about clean energy alternatives for Coal River Mountain.
- Donate “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” Margaret Mead. Coal River Wind is an example of what a few citizens can do to change their world. Every penny translates into immediate work for clean energy at the grassroots level.
